Claudia Schiffer was born to father Heinz Schiffer, a lawyer by profession and mother Gudrun Schiffer. When she was in high school, she never thought of becoming a model, she always wanted to become a lawyer and join her father’s firm. But her life changed when she went to a night club at the age of 17. There Claudia came in the eye of modeling agent Michel Levaton and after some week she was on ramp.

After some time Claudia Schiffer appeared on cover of ELLE magazine. Soon her fame started touching the roof and lot of modeling offers started pouring in. Then Claudia appeared for GUESS? Jeans advertisement campaign. Same time she started to grace the cover of all type of fashion magazine. Till now She has come on cover page for more than 900 times which is a record for any supermodel.

Apart from modeling, Claudia Schiffer has perfomed for many TV shows like The Tonight Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Larry King Live, Arrested Development, The Late Show with David Letterman and some more. Claudia has even acted in some movies like Richie Rich, Friends and lovers, Love Actually, Life without Dick and famous movie Black & White.

Claudia Schiffer has a soft corner as well. She has designed her own calendar and giving all its earning to Pediatric AIDS Foundation and other charities, in spite of the fact that it was a hot selling item. She is also involved with other charities like the National Breast Cancer Coalition Signature Drive, Make-a-Wish Foundation.

In world cup 2006, during the opening ceremony, Claudia Schiffer helped Pele to hold the trophy. In 2002, in the prize ceremony she gave the trophy to prince William Windsor. In hobbies, Claudia like riding horses, playing tennis, reading, dancing, sking and painting.

In personal life, Claudia Schiffer got engaged to magician David Copperfield in 1999 but they broke off in 2005. Then she dated with Tim Jefferies for some time and later married to film producer Matthew Vaughn in 2002. Claudia gave birth to her son, Caspar Matthew in 2003 and daughter, Clementine in 2004.
